Posters

Late abstracts for posters are still accepted and will be published online.
Please send them by e-mail to LatePosters.FISV2009@azuleon.org.
Remember to indicate the appropriate Topic!

This year all data presented in the posters will be discussed in front of each poster (unless you indicated that you do not want to present orally). Please prepare a 5-8 minute presentation (possibly in English). No slides or Powerpoint presentations are allowed. You will find the time of your topic at the poster room.

When preparing a Poster, remember that the available area is 120 cm (height) by 90 cm (width). Please indicate your presentation number clearly; this number is available in the Posters page.

 

Grants (deadline: 17 July 2009)

Meeting attendance grants are available for individuals who meet the following criteria:

1. register for the full meeting
2. are less than 30 years old
3. fall in the Student category (Italian studenti, dottorandi, specializzandi, tirocinanti, borsisti, neolaureati, or other internationally recognized students up to and including Ph.D. level)
4. are the first author of a presentation
5. do not have other sources for meeting fees.

Grant requests must be accompanied by:

1. a printed copy of the presentation abstract
2. a certificate regarding the requester's position and unavailability of other meeting attendance funds, printed on official letterhead and signed by the responsible tutor or professor

and must be submitted with the printed copy of your registration form (as well as proof of payment) before 17 July 2009 to:

Grant requests will be awarded by the Organising Committee subordinately to funds availability. Awardees will be notified by email for the reimbursement details.

 

Getting to Riva del Garda

Riva del Garda is on the Garda Lake and can be reached by air (Verona airport), by railway (Brennero direction), and by car (A22 motorway).

Arriving by air

The FISV 2009 Organisers offer a shuttle bus service between the "Valerio Catullo" airport in Verona and Riva del Garda. For more information see the Rivatour website.

Alternatively, there is public transportation (Aerobus) from the airport to Verona "Porta Nuova" railway station.

N.B. As far as we know, there are no direct buses from the airport to Riva del Garda.

From Verona "Porta Nuova" railway station

Alternative 1. Train to Rovereto (Brennero direction) - for more information on train schedules visit the Trenitalia web pages. The journey with a fast train (IC/EC) takes 40 min; a normal train takes about 60 min. The cost of the train ticket depends on the class and type of train.
Alternative 2. A bus service is provided by APTV Verona—detailed information (in Italian) is available at their website.

Arriving by car

Take the A22 Brennero motorway, exit at Rovereto sud. From here, the distance to Riva del Garda is about 20 min.

Taxi services

You may also use taxi services to reach Riva del Garda. Indicative prices for a one-way trip are about €125.00 from Verona airport, and about €40.00 from Rovereto railway station.
